Being “first aid trained” is one of those strange anomalies in that you want the skill but never really want to use it.

The flip side to that is when you find yourself in a position of having to use your skill that you want to be the very best you can.

Good, effective first aid requires practice and a course every three years is, quite frankly, not enough. This fact has long been recognised by the Health and Safety Executive who “…strongly recommends that first-aiders undertake annual refresher training, over half a day, during any three-year certification period. Although not mandatory, this will help qualified first-aiders maintain their basic skills and keep up to date with any changes to first-aid procedures.

Our first aid refreshers are just a little different.

Taking place over a day and based wholly in the outdoors we will spend the time covering the essential skills in an appropriate setting whilst developing your abilities and confidence in the conditions and situations you are most likely to find yourself in as an outdoor practitioner.

We may even get a summit in as well.
